João Cabaça brings over a decade of corporate finance and real estate structuring experience, shaping him into a key leader at VIC Properties. He began his career in London, working with HSB’s M&A advisory team and their high-yield credit trading desk, where he honed skills in deal-making and capital markets. He then joined Meridien Capital Management, advising family offices on real estate investment strategies, further strengthening his asset-class expertise.
During his tenure in London, João led the structuring and financing of over €2 billion in property transactions and played a pivotal role in acquisitions representing approximately €10 billion gross development value across more than 60 projects.
As Co-Founder and CEO of VIC Properties, João has steered the company’s transformation into one of Portugal’s leading residential developers.
Under his leadership, VIC is executing landmark projects including:
Prata Riverside Village and Matinha in Lisbon, together delivering approximately 3,000 new homes to address Portugal’s housing shortage.
The Pinheirinho project in Comporta, a €1.78 billion development comprising two luxury hotels and branded including one operated by SixSenses.
